I got it before 8 in the morning on a work day, as a text message. Nothing beats a warm invitation for spiritual encouragement than a quick electronic message.
Sheesh....

gallery memoriesit was 1982.. california summer.. the entrance of creative galleries.. the limousine arrived and she emerged.. there is a word i’ve been saving for the sort of story i’m about to tell you.
she debouched from the limo.
(she deserves a special word.).
Remember in 1974 when the Society published "Is This Life All There Is?"
My mom immediately started giggling at that when it was released, and started humming this Peggy Lee song.
i was at a hippyish restaurant today, this was on the washroom wall.
no, this is not a fake or a photoshop....

jehovah's witnesses repeatedly report that when disaster strikes they are the quickest to respond, the most organized relief agency and they provide superior support to their members and the affected community.. they make it sound like organizations such as the red cross are completely in disarray every disaster until jehovah's witnesses show up and show everyone how it's done!.
in the wake of recent disasters around the globe i would like to encourage everyone to share experiences of people showing genuine love to their neighbors, communities going the extra mile and organizations doing brilliant work..

Incognito, you are absolutely correct, I saw it happen to a friend of mine. They tried to force him into having the relief committee rebuild his house after a tornado, with the full expectation that he would turn over his check. And when he declined, he was told he was too materialistic, or some such nonsense.
If there was ever a CO that I could get the chance to kick in the gonads so hard, he'd be gargling them, it would be Fred Kua.
my son graduates with his bachelors degree, cum laude!.
he is the first in my family to graduate with a four year degree.
and he is already in talks for a teaching job.. so, gerrit lush....up your nose with a rubber hose!
Watching the students line up at ceremony, I saw a man who looked about my age, who was getting his diploma. I was proud for him and his achievement, and bit jealous that he could make the time to get it done. Best wishes to you, sir!

But, seriously, I am so proud of him. It seemed like such a long slog at the beginning, and there were discouragements at times, but he made it!
he is just days away from graduation with his bachelor's in english, and today, he has an interview with a recruiter for an agency that help with finding teaching positions in south korea.. i took it upon myself to research the company and his interviewer, and it's been high marks all around on both of them.
so that's a great ease on my mind.i just hope the interview (over the phone) goes well, and results in the next steps to getting a position.my son spent a month in seoul last summer, an loved the place.
he has friends out there as well, including a young man that he attended classes with here in the states, so i think that's a real plus in taking this very giant leap.when i was his age, i was slowly working my way through a two year degree, still living at home, and aspiring to nothing more than a job as a repairman.
As it turns out, this interview with the recruiter was just informational in nature. He states that he can get my son a position for August (!), so I imagine that the "real" interview with the employer will be coming soon...
